The Initiative to Develop Education through Astronomy and Space Science (IDEAS) Grant Program provides
funding for an educator to partner with a scientist to pursue an effective educational project.
Call for proposals will be available by mid-July 2005. The deadline for submitting a 2005 IDEAS
proposal is Friday, October 21, 2005.

Explorer Institutes NASA's Informal Education Division has initiated a
new national level program called the NASA Explorer Institutes (NEI). NEI will provide, "...as only
NASA can," engaging experiences, opportunities, materials, and information to members of the informal

planetariums, libraries, parks, aquaria, nature centers, botanical gardens, youth groups, and
